BUSINESS MODEL: BUILDING BLOCKS

Another three blocks that we learned in previous class:

5) Revenue Streams (RS)


Represents the cash a company generates from each Customer Segment. If customers comprise the heart of a business model,  RS are its arteries. Each RS may have different pricing mechanism, such as fixed list prices, bargaining, auctioning, market dependent, volume dependent or yield management.

Our RS:


Selling food while they are waiting for their car.


6) Key Resources (KR)


Describes about the most important assets required to make a business model work. This resources allow an enterprise to create and offer a Value Proposition, reach markets, maintain relationship with Customer Segment and earn revenues. Kr can be physical, financial, intellectual, or human.

This is our KR:


  • Suppliers (soap)
  • Polishing kit
  • Human resources
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Air compressor
  • Water



7) Key Activities (KA)


It describes the most important things a company must do to make its business model work. This is the most important actions a company must take to operate successfully.

Our KA:

  • Advertise promotions
  • Place
  • Car washers
  • Clean up
  • Polishing
  • Accounts
  • Report
  • Human resources
